F.L.I.P TEEN Program

At FBGNC, we believe that every teen has the potential to create a ripple effect of change. By investing in their growth, we are shaping the leaders of tomorrow and ensuring that their legacy of success, service, and resilience lives on.

Together, we are building stronger families, stronger communities, and a brighter future—one teen at a time.

Creating a Legacy of Success

The FLIP Teen Program is not just about personal achievement—it’s about building a legacy that extends far beyond the individual. Through academic success, leadership development, and a commitment to service, FLIP teens become role models for future generations. The majority of FLIP participants graduate from high school, pursue secondary education, and go on to make meaningful contributions to their families and communities.

The Future Leaders in Progress (FLIP) program is more than just a year-long journey—it's a legacy-building initiative designed to empower teenagers aged 13 to 24 to become confident, capable leaders and changemakers. By providing structured support, mentorship, and meaningful opportunities, FLIP lays the groundwork for participants to leave a lasting impact on their families, communities, and the world.

Ages 13–15: Building Strong Foundations

The legacy starts here, with a focus on leadership and independence. From 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, participants engage in activities designed to set them up for future success:

  • Academic Support: Teens receive guidance and tutoring to excel in school and build the confidence to aim high.

  • Part-Time Job Opportunities: Early work experiences teach responsibility, teamwork, and professionalism.

  • Cross-Country Travel: Teens gain exposure to new cultures and ideas, broadening their horizons and inspiring future aspirations.

By establishing strong foundations, this phase ensures that participants are equipped to pursue their goals and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Ages 16–18: Preparing for the Future

This is where the legacy gains momentum as teens transition into college and career readiness:

  • College Preparation: With mentorship and resources, teens confidently navigate the college application process, shaping their paths to higher education.

  • College Visits: Exploring campuses nationwide helps participants envision their future and choose the best fit for their goals.

  • Financial Literacy: Teens gain the tools to manage their finances responsibly, ensuring a stable foundation for adulthood.

  • Entrepreneurship: Innovative ideas are nurtured, empowering participants to build businesses and lead initiatives that create lasting impact.

  • Community Service: Teens actively give back, leaving a legacy of service and leadership in their communities.

Limited employment opportunities during this phase provide real-world experience, further reinforcing their readiness for the future.

Ages 18–24: Beyond High School—Sustaining the Legacy

The FLIP program ensures that the legacy continues long after high school graduation.

  • College and Career Support: Teens transitioning to college receive mentorship and encouragement, while those entering the workforce are supported in finding meaningful careers.

  • Employment Opportunities: FLIP alumni can secure full-time positions at FBGNC, with college students gaining opportunities to work in areas aligned with their degree fields.

  • Personal Growth: Participants refine their goals, continue building leadership skills, and prepare to carry their legacy into adulthood.

This phase is where the seeds of leadership and resilience cultivated in earlier years begin to bloom, inspiring others and strengthening the community.

The Learning Out Loud (LOL) program is a global travel initiative designed to broaden horizons, cultivate cultural awareness, and inspire a deeper understanding of the world. Through immersive international experiences, participants gain new perspectives, develop leadership skills, and build lifelong memories, all while creating a legacy of exploration and learning.

Expanding Worldviews

LOL provides students with the opportunity to step beyond their everyday surroundings and into vibrant global communities. Key features include:

  • Cultural Immersion: Participants engage directly with the rich history, traditions, and people of each destination, fostering a genuine appreciation for cultural diversity.

  • Transformational Experiences: By visiting places like Ghana and Morocco, with plans for Sierra Leone and Puerto Rico, students develop resilience, adaptability, and a global mindset.

  • Personal Growth: Travel experiences challenge students to step out of their comfort zones, empowering them with confidence, independence, and leadership skills.

Creating Global Citizens

The LOL program is about more than just travel—it’s about creating global citizens who are inspired to make a difference. By exposing students to diverse cultures and experiences, LOL helps them understand the interconnectedness of the world and the importance of building bridges across communities.

Through these experiences, students leave a legacy of curiosity, cultural appreciation, and a commitment to making the world a better place.
