Family Success Center
Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center has the unique opportunity to address barriers that may inhibit clients to seek or sustain job placement and help low to moderate-income families change financial behavior, build assets and become financially stable. By addressing these barriers, we build a foundation of trust that establishes our commitment to our clients, personally and professionally.
Our services include financial literacy workshops, access to basic needs, and rental and utility assistance programs for stable housing. We empower families to achieve homeownership through our home buyers program, providing guidance and resources.
Partnering with Emerge Learning Institute, LLC, we offer a 16-week Pharmacy Technician Training program with evening classes. Students receive a certificate of completion, externship, and eligibility for the national certification exam. Child care with food and homework assistance is available for enrolled students. Our mission is to strengthen families, foster healthy relationships, and support long-term success in the community.
Christel House DORS is a tuition-free high school for adults 18 and older that want to earn their high school diploma. Whether you never attended high school, or just have a few classes left to finish, DORS Northwest can help you reach your goal of graduating and taking the next step on your path. All of our students earn a career certification or college credits through Ivy Tech before they graduate, and our College and Careers program supports our graduates for up to two years after earning their diploma. Whether you're moving on in your career or going back to school, we're there to walk beside you and support you in that process.
Our partnership with Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center allowed us to open DORS Northwest in August 2023. Our students have access to all of the wonderful services the Center provides to their clients and community, including the food pantry, mental health services, childcare, and career and financial coaching. At Christel House DORS, it's never too late to graduate! Please contact our staff if you have questions or are ready to take the next step in your education journey. Learn more at www.chdors.org
